Clear Blue and Save the Children
In 2007, the Partners and Staff of Clear Blue Skies Group S.L. decided to offer their help to the many millions of children living in poverty throughout the world, by becoming sponsors of Save the Children in Africa. The main way of raising cash was that 100 euros was donated every time we sold a property, plus a sponsored ½ marathon by Paul Stokes and Colin Haydon, and a raffle and auction at the opening of our new HQ in Fañabé.

In August 2008, one year after we opened this fund, we were able to send to Save the Children in Madrid, a payment of 10,160 euros, and on 5th September 2008, Save the Children sent us a letter of gratitude, which is translated as follows, and the original letter and certificate are shown underneath...
Gracias!!!
Clear Blue Skies Group
Latest update, As part of their ongoing commitment to helping children in Africa, Clear Blue Skies staff again ran the Las Galletas half marathon in 2009. This time Danny Davis joined Paul Stokes and between this and the proceeds of a raffle and auction at the company's 6th birthday party, it meant that in August 2009, the Clear Blue Skies Team transferred 4000 euros to Save the Children in Madrid. Paul Stokes, one of the Clear Blue partners commented, "it takes a lot of work and commitment to prepare yourself for a half marathon, and for Danny and I it meant rising early to train, as we are too busy at work to train in the evenings. However, to motivate us, we only needed to think of the plight of the thousands of children, particularly in Africa, who are dying needlessly and who have no education and it feels good to know we have made a contribution".

Madrid 5 September 2008
Dear Friends,
In the name of the foundation Save the Children, I am sending to you this letter to finally thank you for your generosity, and collective contribution of 10,160 (ten thousand, one hundred and sixty) euros in support of the programs undertaken by Save the Children in Spain.
We would like very much that this letter of appreciation extends also to Mr Paul Stokes and Mr Colin Haydon, and all of the participants of the raffle and the auction which took place at the new central office in Fañabé, Tenerife.
We appreciate the enormous effort and time dedicated to collect this donacion in the name of Clear Blue Skies Group.
Permit me to remind you that Save the Children is the primary independant organisation which, since 1919, has been working throughout the world for the defence, promotion and protection of the rights of children and to make a fairer world for children.
Together with this letter you will find various copies of our Activity Program 2007, with various examples of our magazine “The Right to be a Child”, so that you can know a little more about our daily work fighting for the most disadvantaged children through Save the Children.
None of our work would be possible with the help of people and companies like you. For this reason, I would like to reiterate our most sincere thanks,
With Kind Regards
Alberto Soteres
Director General
