Set-back off the beach is the Fañabé Plaza, a uniquely-designed shopping mall which hosts a varied selection of outlets, including an excursion shop, a supermarket, various mini-markets, a pharmacy, a hairdressers and beauty parlour, numerous ornament and souvenir shops, several banks, a selection of Spanish cafe-bars, a number of estate agents -a doctor's and a dentist. Also, within a stones-throw of the Plaza is another variety of outlets, including a selection of the ubiquitous camera and computer shops, along with an array of specialist suitcase and sunglasses outlets, a handful of perfume and jewellery shops, various rent-a-car establishments, an Italian clothing boutique, a beachwear shop -and a parapharmacy. For so many people Playa Fañabé represents the ideal location for both holiday's, and also as a permanent residence, not-only because it is far less hilly than its neighbouring counterparts, but also because property in the Fañabé area holds its price extremely well -and those overlooking the beach can command very high prices indeed.
